Our businesses provide real-life experience in business education and job skills training. These self-sustaining businesses offer each recipient an opportunity to work in all aspects of the business, giving them the ability to make career choices.
Donor contributions and charitable support are essential to advance each business's initial development and start-up costs, once operational, it's a self-sufficing business. Business generated income is cycled back and used to help fund future business initiatives.
And it is because of a very generous donation and our corporate partners that MIDS first business venture, Mansfield Shredding Service, opened in July, 2008. This innovative walk-in shredding service offers secure, small volume shredding, ideal for homeowners and small businesses.
