Mansfield Innovative and Developmental Services, Inc. (MIDS), is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
Our mission is to develop small start-up businesses that provide youth business education, job skills training and employment to the challenged students and adults in the Mansfield community.
MIDS' role is to: (1) research potential new business ventures in the Mansfield community and local surrounding communities; and (2) facilitate collaboration between the school's educators, the local business organizations in the community and government. This consortium provides the means for the new business' foundation.
Our first business, Mansfield Shredding Service, is a walk-in service that offers small volume shredding. The students and adults are responsible for all operations of the business from the actual labor involved with shredding and recycling to customer service, marketing and accounting.
